
Chambliss Powers Gymnastics to Season-High 196.375 at Pittsburgh

GW finishes second in tri-meet with New Hampshire
PITTSBURGH – Behind a career-high 39.600 in the all-around for Deja Chambliss, GW gymnastics posted a season-high 196.375 to finish second in its tri-meet at Pittsburgh. The host Panthers posted an all-time program record 196.775 to top the podium, and New Hampshire rounded out the three-team field with a 195.125.
GW posted four-straight event scores above the 49.000 mark, including season-highs on bars and beam. The Buff & Blue earned a 49.125 on vault, a 49.050 on bars, a 49.125 on beam and a 49.075 on floor.
Chambliss' 39.600 in the all-around ties Cami Drouin-Allaire for second in program history. The Chesterfield, Va., native posted a 9.925 on vault, a 9.850 on bars, a 9.925 on beam and a 9.900 on floor, leading GW on all four events. The graduate student earned her fourth all-around title of the season and topped the podium on vault, beam and floor.
In GW's season-high bars score, Chambliss matched her career-high with a 9.850. Simone Banen and Olivia Raymond earned season-highs on the event with a pair of 9.825s, and Rachel Katz posted a career-high 9.825.
ROTATION ONE
GW began its afternoon on floor, led by Kendall Whitman and Chambliss with matching 9.900s. Payton Lynch earned a 9.800, followed by Olivia Zona with a 9.775. Marlee York registered a 9.700, and Sarah Zois made her floor debut, finishing with an 8.675.
ROTATION TWO
The Buff & Blue moved to vault for their second rotation, again led by Chambliss with a 9.925. Rachel Katz and Zois added a pair of 9.825s, and York and Hannah Munnelly registered 9.775s. Whitman posted a 9.700 to finish the vault lineup.
ROTATION THREE
GW took to bars for rotation three, led by Chambliss' 9.850. Banen, Raymond and Katz each posted a 9.825, and Libby Garfoot finished the bars lineup with an 8.925.
ROTATION FOUR
GW headed to beam for its final rotation, posting its season-best behind career-highs from Chambliss and Anneliese Silverman with a 9.925 and a 9.875, respectively. Katherine Shek tied her career-high with a 9.825, and Sarah Zois posted a 9.775. Zona earned a 9.725, and Banen registered a 9.650.
