GW to play three rounds across Monday and Tuesday

WASHINGTON – GW golf will play at the Phoenix Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, hosted by Elon in Burlington, N.C., at the Alamance Country Club.

ABOUT THE COURSE
Par 71 | 6,867 yards

FORMAT
Monday will be an 8 a.m. shotgun start with two rounds of continuous play, with the final round on Tuesday.

THE COMPETITION
Along with GW and Elon, Gardner-Webb, Ohio, Appalachian State, Presbyterian, Radford, Longwood, North Carolina A&T, Lafayette, Temple, William & Mary, Queens, Stetson, La Salle, and Colgate will round out the 16-team field.

LAST TIME OUT

The Buff & Blue finished third at the Howard/San Francisco Intercollegiate last week with a 40-over-par 880. First-year Rodrigo Barahona led GW with a five-over-par 215 (72-69-74). Barahona shot a one-under-par in the second round of play to help to his team-leading sixth-place finish. GW has now finished among the top three in both of its tournaments this fall.
