WASHINGTON - GW women's soccer returns to GW Soccer Field for the first time in three weeks on Sunday, when they face Richmond in an A-10 matchup that kicks off at 1 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT: Despite a strong offensive effort by Sophia Danyko-Kluchycky, the Colonials were unable to grab a victory against Rhode Island, falling 2-0.
TIME FOR HOME COOKING: The Buff & Blue have had to take up the role of road warriors for the first part of this season, playing eight of their first 10 games away from GW Soccer Field.
With that grueling schedule behind them, the Colonials will now begin a stretch that sees them take the pitch in D.C. for four of their next six matches.
SCOUTING THE SPIDERS: Richmond enters Sunday's matchup at 4-4-1 on the season and currently unbeaten in A-10 play. The Spiders began their conference slate with a 1-0 victory against St. Bonaventure before taking care of Fordham, 2-0.
Junior Jessie Prillaman is Richmond's offensive x-factor, leading the team in both goals and points. Meanwhile, in net, the Spiders have gotten production from both senior Claire Hinkle and sophomore Taylor Montague, who have started five matches apiece.
UP NEXT: GW continues its conference slate on Thursday when they welcome UMass to GW Soccer Field for a 3 p.m. contest.
