In its first road test of the campaign, GW women's soccer erased a pair of deficits on Saturday evening at Delaware, but ultimately came up a goal short in a 3-2 setback to the Blue Hens.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• 40th Minute: Following an energetic start, it was Delaware that got on the board first via a counter attack goal from Taisiya Reed from just inside the box.

• 60th Minute: GW evened things up early in the second half on Naomi Kim's first goal of the season. Halle Ostboe's corner came in to Kate McGrath, who headed the ball down to Kim to finish things off.

• 67th Minute: Maggie Groh put the Blue Hens ahead, firing a shot from the right side of the box that deflected off GW keeper Jasmine Black and in.

• 72nd Minute: Just five minutes later, Sophia Michel evened the score from the left side with a series of moves, slotting a shot to the far post and in.

• 86th Minute: Delaware's Olivia Bley scored the game-winner on a header following a cross from Groh.

NOTEWORTHY

• Delaware held a 26-17 edge in shots, but it was GW with a 9-7 advantage in shots on goal.

• Jasmine Black played the full 90 in net and made four saves for the Revolutionaries.

• Both teams had eight corner kicks. GW was whistled for eight fouls while Delaware was called for three.
