Glockenmeier earns first collegiate win in the competition
NEW MARKET, Va. -Â GW cross country continued their early season success on Friday evening, sweeping both the men's 8K and women's 5K events at the JMU Invitational.

•  Friday's victories marked the first time in program history that the Colonials opened their season with two straight first place team finishes in competitions.Â
• Junior James Glockenmeier earned his first collegiate win in the 8K, finishing in a time of 25:43.5.
• The men crushed the competition in their event, taking four of the top five positions and five of the top 10.
• Alex Longeway set a new personal record in the effort, finishing with in a time of 26:19.4 and placing fourth in the event.Â
• The GW women dominated the 5K field, taking five of the top nine positions.
• Sophomore Kenzie Konyar made her GW debut, finishing in a time of 22:47.6
