Baseball Keeping Busy with Summer Ball

13 Colonials taking part in various summer circuits
WASHINGTON -Â GW baseball will have 13 members of its team taking part in various summer leagues, including three in the prestigious Cape Cod League and a pair in the retooled Appalachian League.
Harrison Cohen and Trevor Kuncl are spending the summer in the Cape with the Cotuit Kettleers, while Cade Fergus will play for the Wareham Gateman. Cohen got a taste of the Cape in 2019 after being named the Hamptons League Pitcher of the Year.
Connor Harris and Eddie Micheletti, Jr., have already started their season with the Greenville Flyboys of the Appalachian League, which is now a part of MLB's Baseball Prospect Development Pipeline. Micheletti is the team's top hitter at .306/.393/.423 in 14 games, driving in 12 and scoring 15 runs. Harris has allowed just one earned run in three starts spanning 12 innings for a 0.75 ERA.
Additionally, Noah Levin (Silver Spring T-Bolts) and Chris Knight (Alexandria Aces) will stay in the DMV for the summer as part of the Cal Ripken League. Through seven games, Levin is the top hitter on the squad with a .346/.385/.400 slash line.Â
Anthony Frechette, Steve DiTomaso and Logan Leax are all teammates with the Boone Bigfoots of the Textile League. Benny Wilson and Ryan Herskowitz are members of the South Florida League's Boca Raton Blazers and Jack Horn will play for the Lincoln Potters of the California League.
