Levin, Boselli highlight group with first team honors
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -Â Following its 2021 season unlike any other, GW baseball earned a bevy of postseason accolades from the Atlantic 10 in the conference's awards announced on Wednesday.Â
Junior second baseman Noah Levin and senior outfielder Domenic Boselli were named First Team All-Conference, while sophomore shortstop Steve DiTomaso earned a spot on the second team as well as All-Rookie honors. Additionally, Levin, Steve Barmakian and Jaret Edwards were tabbed to the conference's All-Academic team.
Levin adds to his career accolades with the two honors this year. He was previously named the 2019 A-10 co-Rookie of the Year as well as an All-Rookie selection. The Tarzana, Calif., native finished with 47 RBI in 44 games, ranking in the top five of the league in RBI/game and tied for eighth overall. He drove in 23 of those runs during 24 league games, fifth-best in the circuit. Overall, Levin hit .333/.404/.519 with 16 extra-base hits, including a team-high six homers and 54 hits. He also topped the squad with 16 multi-hit games and 13 multi-RBI games. In the classroom, Levin holds a 3.77 GPA while earning his degree in Finance.

The Ventnor City, N.J., native started 42 games in left field while slashing .291/.378/.473 with 17 extra-base hits, 32 runs scored and 39 RBI. He took his game to the next level in conference play with a .337/.384/.584 slash line, pacing the circuit with 10 doubles while ranking fourth in RBI (24) and hits (30), eighth in runs (20) and 10th in slugging (.584). He contributed 12 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI games during the year and earned the No. 2 spot on SportsCenter's Top 10 following a flipping catch over the bullpen fence vs. Virginia on March 30.
DiTomaso, who was on pace for all-conference honors last year, earned a pair of accolades in his first full collegiate season. Thrust into starting 40 of 44 games at shortstop, the Haddonfield, N.J., native ranked seventh in the league with a .349 average and tied for second with four triples. On the field, he slashed .331/.423/.446 in 44 starts at third base and ranked second on the team with 52 hits and 33 runs scored. He also entered the GW record book with a 15-game hitting streak, ranking among the 10 longest in program history.
Edwards earned a spot on the All-Academic team for the third time in his career thanks to his 3.72 GPA while earning a degree in statistics. The graduate student was also a stud on the field, finishing second in the A-10 with a 2.93 ERA.
