GW will round out the season at Coed Nationals in June
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - GW sailing placed 14th at the women's national championships in Annapolis on Thursday.
Thursday's second day of racing got off to a slow start due to the lack of wind, delaying races by nearly three hours. As a result, just six races were completed in each division on Thursday.
Chiara Perotti Correa and Allison Forsyth finished 8th in A Division.
"I'm proud of all of the improvements that Chiara and Allison have made together," Head Coach Billy Martin said. "I'm really excited to see them continue to grow."
In B Division, Sarah Hardee, Ruby Gordon and Taylor Milefchik finished No. 15 in their fleet.
"An amazing quality of all of our sailors on the team is that they keep fighting," said Martin. "I'm extremely proud of our team, they have overcome a lot this year and I assigned a lot of new roles to them this season."
GW will be back on the national stage for Coed Championships on June 7-8.
