Golf Plays in Pair of Tournaments

GW will host Match by the Bay on Friday and play in the Mountaineer Invitational on Monday and Tuesday
WASHINGTONÂ - The GW men's golf team has added an additional contest for the spring season, hosting the Match by the Bay, a two-man team style tournament with Navy and Howard on Friday.Â
GW will then compete in the Mountaineer Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, hosted by West Virginia.Â
MATCH BY THE BAY FORMATÂ
Play will feature three two-man teams playing best-ball match play. GW will play Navy's blue team in the first round and then compete in either a championship or consolation match later in the day. GW's teams will be split up as follows: Jakub Hrinda and Luis Preciado, Hugo Riboud and Ty Sullivan, Adrian Castagnola and Cliff Thompson.Â
MOUNTAINEER INVITATIONAL FORMATÂ
The format here is a six-count-four event with six players competing with the four lowest scores counting. The teams will play two rounds on Monday and one round on Tuesday for a total of 54 holes.Â
