GW scored a season-best in the final round of play
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The GW golf team capped off its regular season with a ninth-place showing at the Mountaineer Invitational, finishing with a 49-over par 913. Â
As a team, GW's best golf came in the final round, finishing with a season-best one-under-par with a 287. The Buff and Blue came into round three 12th overall, but thanks to 21 birdies and an eagle, GW jumped three spots to earn its No. 9 finish.
Ty Sullivan paced the squad for the second tournament in a row, finishing with an eight-over par 224. Sullivan's team-best score tied for 13th overall on the player leaderboard.
The team will now look ahead to the Atlantic 10 Championship scheduled for April 30 – May 2 in Orlando.
