The Buff & Blue broke open a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning on a bases-clearing double from Derek Ripp off the right-center wall. An inning later, Domenic Boselli blasted a three-run homer past the new videoboard in left-center to give GW a 7-2 cushion.
Ripp added an RBI single later in the frame and Boselli drove in his fourth run of the contest with a sac fly in the seventh. Combined, the duo was 6-for-9 with eight driven in in the opener. Steve Barmakian, Eddie Micheletti, Tyler Hix and Cade Fergus each contributed multi-hit games.
On the hill, Harrison Cohen started and battled command, but limited the damage to just one run on no hits in three innings thanks to seven strikeouts. Jaret Edwards (1-0) picked up the win with three innings of relief, striking out three.

The Colonials burst out to a 4-0 lead in the nightcap with a run in the first and three more in the second.
Boselli drove in the first run with an RBI groundout before Steve DiTomaso and Barmakian coaxed back-to-back bases loaded walks in the second. Noah Levin brought in the fourth run on a fielder's choice.
The real star, though, was GW starter Elliott Raimo (1-0) who silenced Lehigh over five innings, allowing a run on three hits with eight strikeouts. Connor Harris retired all six batters he faced, including three punchouts, to earn his second career save. Combined the two allowed just four over the minimum and retired 17 of the final 19 hitters.
The Buff & Blue will look to duplicate the feat on Sunday afternoon against Lehigh at Diamond Nation in Flemington, N.J. First pitch of the twin-bill, a seven-inning affair, is scheduled for a 12 p.m. start followed by a nine-inning contest.
