Golf Set for Oldfield Invitational

GW will open their 2021 Spring season in South Carolina
TEEING OFF:Â The GW golf team is set to host the Oldfield Invitational on Monday and Tuesday in Okatie, SC.Â
COURSE:

Par 72 | 7,007 yardsÂ
AT THE TOURNAMENT:Â Morehead State, North Alabama, Virginia Tech, George Mason, USC Beaufort, Cincinnati and Stetson will be the seven other programs competing at the tournament.
THE BUFF AND BLUE:Â Luis Preciado, Cliff Thompson, Hugo Riboud and Ty Sullivan have cleared the contact-tracing protocols and will be competing for GW.Â
In 2019-20, Preciado earned the 8th lowest single season scoring average in GW golf history with a score of 73.5 across 21 rounds. In the fall of 2019, Riboud averaged a 75.93 (15 rounds). Thompson averaged a 75.67 (12 rounds).Â
Sullivan is expected to make his Buff and Blue debut after transferring from UNLV. While at UNLV, Sullivan won the Clark County Amateur Championship. In his first Southern Nevada Golf Association (SNGA) victory, Sullivan tallied 11 birdies and an eagle over the two days of play to win the Championship Division by a stroke.
GW will tee off on Monday at 8:30 a.m., followed by round 2 at 1:30 p.m. Round 3 will start on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. Live scoring will be available to follow along at home.Â
