Women's Rowing Competes in Pair of Events This Weekend

GW wraps up fall slate of competition
WASHINGTON -Â GW women's rowing will take part in two regattas this weekend with the novice crew heading to the Head of the Occoquan on Saturday and the varsity crew taking part in the Princeton Chase on Sunday.
THE FALL SO FAR:Â GW competed in the Head of the Potomac on Sept. 26, taking first, second and fourth against local clubs in the first action of the fall. Most recently, GW had four boats compete at the Occoquan Chase, all of which finished in the top 10 of their respective races.
ABOUT THE WEEKEND: The Buff & Blue's novice program will take the water for the first time on Saturday in Fairfax Station, Va. The Colonials will take part in the Novice Women's 4+ at 12:05 p.m. and the Novice Women's 8+ at 2 p.m.
On Sunday, the varsity program will compete on Carnegie Lake as part of the Princeton Chase. GW will have boats in the Women's Open 8 at 10 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. as well as the Open 4 at 1:05 p.m.
