Buff & Blue volunteered at annual fundraiser on Wednesday night
GW softball spent Wednesday night volunteering at the Congressional Women's Softball Game.
The annual fundraiser pitting a team of Congresswomen vs. a squad of women from the Capitol Hill press corps was held in Southeast D.C. at Watkins Recreation Center and raised more than $500,000 for the Young Survival Coalition, a breast cancer charity that supports young adults affected by breast cancer.
The Buff & Blue volunteers stayed busy throughout an #OnlyatGW evening, handing out programs, supporting concessions and leading activities for youngsters in the crowd.Â
They had the chance to meet and greet lawmakers along the way, a group that included Rep. Abigail Spanberger, from first-year Taylor Puig's home district in Virginia, and Rep. Linda Sanchez, who represents graduate student Maddy Dwyer's home district in California.
The press team scored a 5-1 victory over the Congresswomen on a memorable night for all involved.
