WASHINGTON - GW baseball head coach Gregg Ritchie announced the team's annual postseason awards on Tuesday, highlighting those who made an impact in the shortened 2020 season.

I Got Your Back Award - Colin Brophy, Emmett Harkins, Andrew Wheeler

The "I Got Your Back Award" is presented to the player (or players) that showed exemplary performance when his team needed him most. It can be a special moment or period of time when a player steps in and puts the team on his back and carries the team through the adverse moment or time period. These men are true mentally-tough warriors and teammates.

Jackie Robinson Award - Jaret Edwards

Each year GW baseball bestows the Jackie Robinson Award on a Colonial baseball player. The award is given to the Colonial who best exhibits the qualities that reflect the attributes of the legendary sports hero who famously broke the Major League Baseball color barrier more than 70 years ago.

Warren Fulton III Memorial Award - Steve Barmakian

The Warren Fulton Award is presented in memory of the GW baseball alum who tragically lost his life during his senior season in 1988. Fulton was the team captain, leading base-stealer and was batting .367 when his life was abruptly cut short.

Every year since Fulton's untimely passing, the GW baseball program has presented the Warren Fulton III Memorial Award to the player who best exemplifies the spirit, teamwork and sportsmanship that was displayed by Warren.

Co-MVPs: Harrison Cohen and Noah Levin

Cohen was off to a tremendous start in his four appearances, compiling a 2-1 record with a 2.10 ERA over 25.2 IP. He had been named the A-10's Pitcher of the Week for his performance on March 6 against Monmouth, when he pitched eight scoreless innings with eight strikeouts.

Levin was the team's top offensive threat, hitting .429 while starting all 16 games. In addition to leading the team in average, the sophomore paced the squad in hits (24), RBI (13), total bases (28), slugging percentage (.500) and on-base percentage (.522). He finished the year on a 10-game hitting streak.
