Checking in on current and former Colonials in action this summer
WASHINGTON -Â GW baseball extended its record streak to five straight seasons with at least one player picked in the MLB Draft last month with the selections of Nate Fassnacht and Dom D'Alessandro. They join four former Colonials active in the professional ranks.
Additionally, seven current Colonials are in action in various summer leagues around the country.

Metz made his pro debut on June 14 after missing the last year while returning from injury. He started with the Advanced Rookie Grand Junction Rockies and appeared in three games before being promoted to Single-A where he racked up four hits in his first three games.

Pasteur's first full year began in Single-A Charleston before he was sent to extended spring training in mid May. He's found his stride since returning to action with Staten Island, where he ranks eighth in the league in batting average.
