GW also earns Outstanding Team Academic Award
WASHINGTON -- Recent graduate Logan Lowe has been named a Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar, while the Colonials received a team academic award from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) for their collective performance in the classroom.
Â
Lowe, who graduated in May with a real estate degree and a 3.55 GPA, earns the honor for the second straight year. He's one of a record 540 student-athletes across the nation named to the list, which requires an individual to be a junior or senior, maintain a minimum 3.2 career GPA and have participated in 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds while recording a stroke average under 76.0.
Â
As a team, the Colonials were one of 193 teams nationally honored by the GCAA with an Outstanding Team Academic Award for achieving a GPA above 3.0. It's the third consecutive year GW landed on the list.
