Hosted by Stanford, the tournament boasts one of the top fields in college golf

STANFORD, Calif. -- The GW golf team on Saturday wrapped up play at The 2019 Goodwin hosted by Stanford University, annually considered one of the most prestigious and difficult tournaments in college golf.

GW closed the three-day tournament with a team score of 15-over par 295 on Saturday, its lowest round of the weekend. Senior Logan Lowe was the top individual finisher for the Colonials with a 7-over par 217.

The host Cardinal took the team title with an 8-under par 832, finishing 18 shots clear of sixth-ranked USC and a field which included five top-25 squads and 13 in the top-50. Brandon Wu of Stanford finished 4-under par and claimed the individual title in a playoff.

The Colonials have just one event left in the regular season, the Bayou City Collegiate Classic in Houston April 14-15, before heading to Orlando for the Atlantic 10 Championship April 26-28.
