The Colonials will also compete at the Bob Bavier Team Race and ODU Women’s
SETTING SAIL: The GW sailing team gets its spring season started in earnest this weekend by competing in a trio of regattas, including the GW Team Race at the Washington Sailing Marina in Alexandria, Va.
STARTING WITH A W: Last weekend, the Colonials took first place at the Phebe Corkran King Women's Regatta at College of Charleston, which was limited to one day of sailing due to weather. GW had a dominant performance to outpace the 10-team field, as Riley Legault and Alexandra Fayer ran away with A Division with a score of 19, well clear of second-place Stanford (34). The duo won five of 10 races and finished in the top three in all but one. Meanwhile in B Division, Aitana Mendiguren and Sarah Noyes took third, helping secure the overall first place finish.
LOOKING AT THE LINEUPS: In addition to the GW Team Race, the Colonials will participate in the Bob Bavier Team Race at College of Charleston, and the ODU Women's in Norfolk, Va.
