Men's Swimming & Diving Begins Fall Frenzy Invite

Colonials sit sixth in team standings
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - GW men's swimming and diving began the Sheraton Le Meridien Fall Frenzy Invite hosted by Queen University on Friday with 12 student-athletes scoring over three individual events.
Max Forstenhaeusler (200 IM) and Moritz Fath (500 free) qualified for A finals on the first of three days at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center. Both seniors were also part of GW's third-place showing in the 400-yard medley relay to cap the night.
The Colonials are sixth out of 13 in the crowded team standings with 441 points.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Fath, Forstenhaeusler, George Aspougalis and Andrew Cho touched in 3:17.80 in the 400 medley relay.
- Fath paced six Colonials in the 500 free finals, grabbing eighth in 4:32.94. Sophomores Josh Legge (4:33.41, 12th) and DH Hwang (4:36.89, 14th) qualified for the B final with Zach Hu (18th), Oscar Madsen (28th) and Ian Molloy (31st) also scoring.
- Forstenhaeusler placed fifth in the 200 IM in 1:51.56. Teammates Dylan Arzoni (1:54.65, 14th) and Aspougalis (1:54.93, 15th) were in the B final.
- Tyler Kawakami was the top Colonial in the 50 free, taking 16th in 21.17 seconds. Cho (18th) and Sebbie Borden (31st) scored there, as well.
- Kawakami, Cho, Borden and Arzoni teamed up on GW's top team in the 200 free relay for a seventh-place finish in 1:23.86.
