Baseball Alums Wrap Up Minor League Campaign

Four Colonials saw action for MiLB clubs in 2018
WASHINGTON -Â The 2018 Minor League Baseball season finished its regular season last week and multiple Colonials saw their season come to a close. Below is a look at how each fared in the professional ranks:
Joey Bartosic - 19th round pick in 2017 by Colorado
Team:Â Grand Junction Rockies (Rookie - Pioneer League)
Final Stats:Â 11 games, .306, 0 HR, 6 RBI, 0 2B, 1 3B, 11 R, 8 BB, 5 SB
Bartosic was injured to begin the season, but made up for lost time with a strong showing in Grand Junction to finish off the year. The Rockies qualified for the Pioneer League Playoffs and will open the best-of-three championship series on Tuesday against Great Falls.
Brandon Chapman - Free agent signing in 2018 by Atlanta
Team:Â GCL Braves (Rookie - Gulf Coast League)
Final Stats:Â 19 games, .250, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 1 2B, 0 3B, 4 R, 9 BB
Chapman signed a contract with the Braves on June 1 and was assigned to the Rookie-level club thereafter. The backstop appeared in 16 games behind the plate and caught three of seven would-be basestealers.
Will Kobos - 19th round pick in 2018 by Pittsburgh
Team:Â Bristol Pirates (Rookie - Appalachian League)
Final Stats:Â 14 games/3 starts, 2-2, 7.11 ERA, 2 saves, 31.2 IP, 30 H, 28 R, 25 ER, 19 BB, 42 K
Kobos racked up an impressive 11.93 K/9 in his professional debut, recording multiple strikeouts in all but one of his 14 outings. His highlight came on July 3 when he struck out six in three scoreless innings at Danville, firing 32 of his 38 pitches for strikes.
Isaiah Pasteur - 13th round pick in 2018 by New York Yankees
Teams:Â GCL Yankees East (Rookie - Gulf Coast League) / Pulaski Yankees (Rookie - Appalachian League)
Final Stats:Â 28 games, .295, 6 HR, 14 RBI, 6 2B, 19 R, 8 BB, 6 SB
Pasteur began the year in the GCL before receiving a promotion to Pulaski at the advanced rookie level in mid-August. The A-10 Player of the Year raked in the GCL, hitting .322 with five home runs and a .988 OPS in just 19 games before moving up a level.
Robbie Metz - 25th round pick in 2018 by Colorado
Metz was drafted, but never appeared in a game while rehabbing from an injury. He is expected to be fully healthy and report to Spring Training with the Rockies in 2019.
