Bowman and Lee record double-doubles
WASHINGTON – The GW volleyball team fell in four sets to Revolutionary Rival George Mason on Thursday night at the Smith Center.
George Mason 3, GW 1 (25-27, 25-19, 18-25, 18-25)
Key Stats
• Four separate Colonials (8-14, 2-8) recorded double-digit digs, including juniors Skylar Iott (13 kills, 10 digs) and Jaimeson Lee (37 assists, 13 digs), who tallied double-doubles.
• Senior Kelsey Clark paced GW's offense, notching 13 kills in 42 attempts. Fellow senior Alexis Lete added seven kills and six block assists.
• George Mason (8-12, 6-4) ended up with advantages in kills (53-44), assists (51-41), digs (94-77), and blocks (11.0-8.0).
• First-year Bella Bowman led GW's defense with 26 digs and also provided a pair of service aces.

Set 1: George Mason 27, GW 25
• The Colonials fought off a trio of set points, rallying to take a 25-24 lead. However, Mason battled back to win three straight points and take the set.
• Bowman was strong for GW in the opening stanza, registering 11 of her 26 digs.
Set 2: GW 25, George Mason 19

• Clark was the catalyst offensively with five kills in 12 attempts to help the Buff & Blue even the match.
Set 3: George Mason 25, GW 18
• Mason took control after intermission, showcasing a strong attack with just one error in 31 attempts in the third set.
• The Patriots led wire-to-wire in the set despite four kills from first-year Paz Dozie-Nnamah.
Set 4: George Mason 25, GW 18
• Mason again did not relinquish the lead in the final set to put away the triumph. GW tied the set on four occasions, but was unable to overcome four blocks from the Patriots.

• GW wraps up its home slate next weekend with matches against VCU on Friday at 7 p.m. and Davidson on Saturday at 5 p.m. Saturday's match will serve as senior day for the program.
