Men's Water Polo Downs Salem International

LEWISBURG, Pa. - George Washington men's water polo knocked off Salem International, 18-10, on Friday night at Kinney Natatorium to begin the Bucknell Invitational.
Andras Levai posted four goals to pace the 17th-ranked Colonials (5-3) with Jordan Blosser and Brett Else chipping in three apiece. Atakan Destici was strong on both ends with two goals, two assists and two steals.
A six-goal opening period sent GW on its way to a comfortable win. The Colonials led, 9-4, at the half and continued to build the advantage. It was their second victory of the young season over the Tigers (2-4).
GW will play three more games at the event over the next two days. Saturday's schedule begins with a 1 p.m. exhibition against the University of Toronto before an 8:30 p.m. meeting with No. 10 Harvard. The Colonials wrap up the weekend Sunday morning against Mercyhurst.
