Ritchie Expands Involvement with USA Baseball

DURHAM, N.C. - George Washington baseball head coach Gregg Ritchie was announced as an evaluator for USA Baseball's 2017 17U National Team Development Program on Tuesday afternoon.
Coaches and evaluators will assess 40 athletes during the National Team Development Program (NTDP) week and are made up of former professional players, respected collegiate and high school coaches, and professional scouts.
The USA NTDP offers athletes an opportunity to connect with USA Baseball staff to better prepare for future national team experience. The program includes skill development sessions, off-field education seminars, intrasquad games and exposure to professional scouts, college recruiters and the 18U National Team staff and task force.
Earlier this year, Ritchie was named the hitting coach of the 2017 18U National Team that will compete at the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) 18U World Cup in September 2017 in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
He began working with USA Baseball is 2016 as an assistant coach at the 17U NTDP and the 18U National Team Trials.
