Lacrosse Hosts Robert Morris on Saturday

OPENING DRAW: The George Washington lacrosse team continues its five-game home stint when it welcomes Robert Morris for the first time to the GW Lacrosse Field on Saturday at 1 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT: GW fell to Navy, 16-5, on Wednesday, March 1. Junior Jocelyn Donohue paced the Colonials with a pair of goals, while freshman Aidan Cage and seniors Cassidy Shollenberger and Bailey Forcier scored one apiece. In the cage, Adele Wise recorded six saves in 46:59 while Erin Long made two saves in 12:51.
TOPS ON TEAM: Donohue leads the Colonials in the scoring column with 13 goals, a mark that ranks fifth in the Atlantic 10. The junior attacker has three hat tricks so far this season. Senior Cassidy Shollenberger ranks second on the team with six goals and one assist, while classmates Michaela Lynch and Bailey Forcier rank third with five goals apiece. Forcier also has a team-high 15 draw controls.
IN THE CREASE: Junior keeper Adele Wise boasts a .385 save percentage. Wise has made 45 saves so far this season, a mark that ranks fourth in the A-10.
SCOUTING ROBERT MORRIS: Robert Morris (3-3) picked up its third win of the season last weekend in a 9-7 victory over the University of Detroit Mercy. Robert Morris was led by sophomore Maggie Stella's hat trick. Freshman keeper Katelyn Miller made ten saves and posted a .588 save percentage.
SERIES HISTORY: GW and Robert Morris will meet for the first time ever on Saturday. It marks the Colonials' fifth first-time opponent in the past two seasons.
LOOK AHEAD: The Colonials return to action on Saturday, March 18 when Delaware visits the GW Lacrosse Field for a 1 p.m. tilt.
