GW lacrosse is back in action on Saturday as it faces off with the nationally-ranked Richmond Spiders at noon in Richmond, Va.
Coming off a thrilling 12-9 come-from-behind victory over George Mason, GW's Gabi Greth and Mia Milkowski were each recognized this week by the conference for their standout performances as Players of the Week. Greth, the Revolutionaries starting goalie, was awarded as Defensive Player of the Week after earning 10 saves in the cage, while Milkowski earned her third Rookie of the Week award after scoring a hat trick vs. the Patriots.
Entering Saturday, GW sits fifth in the conference standings and will look to maintain its position in the top six over the final three regular season games to secure a spot in the Atlantic 10 Championship.
The host Spiders enter the weekend with a 10–2 record, including a perfect 6–0 mark in Atlantic 10 play. Richmond most recently defeated La Salle in dominant fashion, 20–2, while junior Megan Rode joined Greth and Milkowski among the conference's most recent weekly award winners, earning Offensive Player of the Week honors.
