Men's Basketball to Host Toledo Wednesday in CBI

WASHINGTON -- The GW men's basketball team has accepted an invitation to play in the College Basketball Invitational and will host a first round game against Toledo on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Charles E. Smith Center.
The Colonials own a 19-14 record heading into the game and have won six of their last seven, while Toledo is 17-16. Other schools set to participate in the 16-team field are Loyola (Md.), George Mason, Hampton, Coastal Carolina, Stony Brook, UIC, Eastern Washington, Wyoming, Green Bay, UMKC, San Francisco, Rice, Utah Valley and Georgia Southern.
GW will look to reach the 20-win plateau for the fourth straight season while it is making its fourth straight postseason appearance, having been to the NCAA Tournament in 2014 before NIT appearances in 2015 and 2016, including the championship last season.
