Key Stats
- Senior Aaliya Davidson had one of the best matches of her career after finishing with a career-high 20 kills to lead the Colonials.
- Davidson's 20 winners came on a .378 attack percentage and just three attack errors. She added eight digs and two assists.
- Freshman Marianna Warren put down a season-high 17 kills on the evening to go with four digs and one block assist.
- Senior Kristel Moor also finished with double-digit kills, totaling 11 winners along with three digs and one block assist.
- Sophomore Jaimeson Lee double-doubled with 40 assists and 11 digs.

Set 1: George Mason 25, GW 20
- GW got off to a slow start on the offensive end and swung just .077 (10k-7e-39a) in the first set.
- George Mason held an early 15-9 lead but the Colonials scored five straight points to pull within one point at 15-14.
- Mason created separation again before the Colonials chipped away at the lead to tie the score at 18-18.
- Mason closed on a 7-2 run to take the first set.
Set 2: GW 25, George Mason 11
- GW dominated the second set by swinging .462 (14k-2e-26a) and holding the Patriots to a negative attack percentage (-.033).
- The Colonials started the second on an 8-3 run and extended the lead to 15-9 to force a Mason timeout.
- GW closed the set on a crippling 10-2 run to tie the match at 1-1.
Set 3: George Mason 25, GW 21
- The teams battled through nine ties and two lead changes before George Mason emerged with the win in the third set.
- The Colonials outhit the Patriots, .200 to .167, but were plagued by unforced errors.
- GW trailed by just one point at 18-17 before the Patriots embarked on a set-closing 7-4 run to take a 2-1 lead in the match.
Set 4: GW 25, George Mason 19
- GW came out with a vengeance to open the fourth, starting the frame on a 10-3 run before opening up the lead to 15-6.
- The Colonials stayed out in front and fought off a late George Mason surge to tie the match at 2-2.

- GW scored the first three points of the fifth set before extending its lead to 9-3.
- Mason scored four straight points to start a 7-1 run which tied the set at 10-10.
- GW pulled ahead briefly, 12-10, but Mason answered to knot the score at 12-12.
- Davidson recorded three straight kills to clinch the match for the Colonials.
