DAYTON, Ohio - Three players finished with double-figure kills but the George Washington volleyball team wrapped its regular-season road schedule with a 3-1 loss at Dayton on Sunday afternoon at the Frericks Center.

Key Stats
- Senior Kristel Moor led all players in the match with 15 kills and added seven digs, one block assist and one service ace.
- Junior Kelsey Clark and senior Aaliya Davidson also posted double-digit kills. Clark put down 13 winners along with five block assists while Davidson finished with 12 kills (.286) and seven digs.
- Graduate student Stacey Benton facilitated the offense with 22 assists and finished just shy of a double-double with nine digs.
- Dayton finished with narrow advantages of 51-50 in kills and 47-45 in digs while outblocking the Colonials, 13.5-8.0.
Set 1: Dayton 25, GW 15
- GW got off to a slow start in the match, committing more errors (8) than kills (6) in the first set.
- Dayton broke an early 2-2 tie with seven straight points to open a 9-2 lead and was not threatened the rest of the way.
Set 2: Dayton 25, GW 23
- GW's attack awakened in the second set as the Colonials opened on a 9-3 run and later led by an 11-5 margin.
- Dayton battled back to tie the set at 17-17.
- The Colonials briefly regained the lead at 18-17 but four straight points put Dayton on top, 21-18, and forced a timeout.
- GW was able to cut the deficit to one point at 24-23 but a service error clinched the set for the Flyers.
Set 3: GW 25, Dayton 23
- The Colonials fought through 13 ties and four lead changes to win a competitive third set.
- GW swung a match-best .289 (19k-8e-38a) in the third and also converted a match-best 65-percent (15-of-23) of sideout opportunities.
- The Colonials trailed late, 17-15, but chipped away at the lead to tie the score at 20-20.
- Dayton scored consecutive points to take a 22-20 lead but a kill by Davidson ignited a set-closing 5-1 run.
Set 4: Dayton 25, GW 21
- The fourth set featured substantial runs for both teams.
- GW led late, 21-19, but Dayton got the benefit of the final run and scored six straight points to clinch the match.

- GW will close the regular season with five straight home matches at the Charles E. Smith Center, starting next weekend with rematches against Duquesne (Fri., 7 p.m.) and La Salle (Sat., 7 p.m.).
