GW Men's Basketball Announces 2016-17 Schedule

WASHINGTON -- The GW men's basketball team on Tuesday unveiled its 2016-17 schedule and it includes a minimum of 17 nationally televised games, including 13 of 18 Atlantic 10 contests.
While a complete broadcast package has yet to be finalized, the Colonials are set to appear on the ESPN Networks four times, along with five NBCSN broadcasts, four CBSSN productions, and four games with ASN. TV assignments for GW's remaining games will be announced at a later date.
GW is set to play a difficult non-conference schedule, highlighted by games with Georgia and either Kansas or UAB in the CBE Classic (Nov. 21-22 on ESPN Networks), in addition to home games vs. Penn State (Nov. 26), USF (Dec. 3) and UCF (Dec. 15), road games at Temple (Dec. 7) and Miami (Dec. 22), and a neutral site clash with Florida State as part of the BB&T Classic on Dec. 4 (4:00 on CBSSN).
The Colonials begin A-10 play on Friday, Dec. 30 at Saint Joseph's, before opening the home portion of their league slate on Thursday, Jan. 5 vs. Davidson (7:00 on ESPNU). Three nationally televised games follow, with Richmond visiting on Sunday, Jan. 8 (noon on NBCSN) before GW travels to VCU (Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 6:00 on ESPN2) and La Salle (Sunday, Jan. 15 at 4:30 on NBCSN).
GW will appear on national television for nine straight games starting with a Jan. 25 trip to George Mason (7:00 on ASN) and concluding with a Feb. 23 game vs. Massachusetts (7:00 on ASN). In that stretch, the Colonials will also host Saint Louis (Saturday, Jan. 28 at 4:00 on ASN), VCU (Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 9:00 on CBSSN) and St. Bonaventure (Saturday, Feb. 11 at 4:30 on NBCSN).
Senior day will be on Saturday, March 4, when GW plays host to Dayton in an 8:00 game on CBSSN.
