GW Softball Weekend Games Canceled

WASHINGTON - The George Washington softball team's season-opening weekend of competition has been canceled.

The Colonials were slated to open the season with four games at a Gardner-Webb hosted tournament, but low temperatures and possible snow in the forecast forced the cancelations.

GW will now open the spring season at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Palm Springs, California, where the Colonials will play five games in the three-day tournament from Feb. 19-21.
