GW senior outfielder Ashley Corpuz was named the Atlantic 10 Softball Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.Â
Corpuz was fully charged last week over GW's four contests, slugging 1.700 as she led the Revolutionaries' offense from the leadoff spot. Â
The 2025 A-10 All-Conference First Team selection crushed four home runs which resulted in a pile of walks. Corpuz went 5-10 in official at-bats, and she was walked an additional eight times, which included five intentional walks and one hit-by-pitch, boosting her on-base to .722.
Corpuz was responsible for nearly a third of GW's 24 total runs with seven RBI and seven runs scored. She went deep three times at Fordham, including back-to-back homers to open Sunday's doubleheader, which was followed by five intentional walks. Â
Corpuz has seven home runs in her last seven games, which led her to a career milestone this past week as she moved up on GW's all-time home runs list. Now with 37 blasts in her career, Corpuz trails only GW All-American Jenna Cone (73) on GW's all-time career home runs.
The Revolutionaries return to action Wednesday, April 8 (5:00 p.m.) at UMBC following their upcoming A-10 bye weekend.
