WASHINGTON - George Washington baseball rising junior Eddie Muhl has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-East Region Second Team, the ABCA announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The honor marks Muhl's second postseason accolade after being named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team last month.
Muhl concluded the regular season as the NCAA saves leader with 17 after setting GW's single-season and career saves (18) marks during the 2015 season. His 17 saves also stand as an Atlantic 10 single-season record.
The Sherman Oaks, California, native posted a 2.13 ERA and 20 strikeouts across 24 appearances in 2015, helping the Colonials to their first 30-win season since 2005 and a spot in the final four of the Atlantic 10 Championship.
Muhl carried a streak of 11 consecutive scoreless innings into the season, a run that eventually extended to 18.2 innings before ending in mid-March.
A total of 12 A-10 student-athletes earned All-Region honors across eight regions.
