GW Softball Announces Camp Discounts for the Holidays

WASHINGTON - The George Washington softball program will host two clinics during the winter months at a holiday discount, head coach Stacey Schramm announced Wednesday.
Interested participants and parents can learn more about upcoming camps, download forms and register through the new GW Softball Camps website, found here.
The Holiday Camp will be held from Dec. 12-13, and is designed for campers who have experience playing fastpitch softball competitively at the high school or club team level. Participants will receive high-level hitting instruction from assistant coach Nerissa Myers - an active player in the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) league and 2014 NPF Offensive Player of the Year. Campers will also have the opportunity to improve their skills defensively, as position work will be emphasized and pitchers will throw live to hitters.
The Winter Camp will be held from Jan. 16-17, and will focus on preparation for the high school season. GW's coaching staff and current Colonials will guide campers to stronger fundamental play, while allowing participants to compete in a controlled environment to improve overall gameplay.
The registration cost for each camp is $200 - reflecting a holiday discount from the original fee of $350. GW softball camps are held at the Mount Vernon Campus, utilizing the newly-renovated GW Softball Field and Lloyd Gymnasium facilities.
