CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The George Washington softball team's games against Iowa State and Penn State scheduled for Saturday at the Carolina Classic have been canceled due to rain.

GW (2-6) split games on the first two days of the tournament, defeating North Dakota State, 5-4, in eight innings on Thursday before falling to Iona, 5-1, on Friday.

The Colonials now return to the GW Softball Field on the Mount Vernon Campus to host Drexel in a home-opening doubleheader on Tuesday beginning at 2 p.m.
