The George Washington softball team's home opening contest with Drexel on Wednesday has been postponed until March 29.

WASHINGTON – The George Washington softball team’s home opening doubleheader with Drexel scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 29 at Mount Vernon Softball Field has been postponed due to expected unplayable weather conditions.

A single game has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 29, at 2 p.m., as opposed to the originally scheduled doubleheader.

This weekend’s Colonial Classic will serve as GW’s home opener. The Colonials kick off the tournament at Mount Vernon Softball Field on Friday, March 2 at 12 p.m. against Buffalo, followed by a 3 p.m. game with Army.
