Fred Hardy Invitational: Day One Results
RICHMOND, VA- The George Washington cross country program opened its spring season on Friday evening at the Fred Hardy Invitational at the University of Richmond.
Sophomore Julia Weir finished in 10th place overall out of 41 in the women's 1500 meters. She finished in 4:51.50, 20 seconds behind winner Nicole Traynor of Richmond. Traynor set a new facility and meet record with her first place performance.
Freshman Kelly Bartz took 32nd place after posting a time of 5:15.01.
On the men's side freshman Rex Sheikh placed 19th out of 29 in the men's 1500 meters, finishing in 4:14.36.
