
Colonials Drop 16-1 Decision to Flyers

WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington University baseball team returned to action Saturday afternoon and dropped their second in a row at TWC Stadium 16-1. It was the second straight loss for the Colonials after winning their first six conference games in a row.
The Colonials were led by senior Tom Zebroski, who went 4-5 and hit his seventh home run of the season. Redshirt senior Chris Luick went 2-5 and sophomore Ollie Mittag came off the bench and drew a walk and went 1-1.
Junior Joe Richardson dropped to 5-1 on the season going five innings and allowing five earned runs. The right-hander walked one and struck out three. Freshman Kenny O'Brien threw two innings in relief and sophomore Marshall Seedorff finished the game by pitching the eighth.
The Flyers were led by Cameron Hobson, who pitched seven innings and struck out 11. The offense was led by catcher Dan Welch, who went 3-5 and drove in four runs. The Flyers pushed their record to 16-15 and their A-10 record to 6-2.
The Colonials will wrap up the series on Sunday as they send junior Eric Cantrell to the mound. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
