BALTIMORE, MD - George Washington senior right-hander Ryan Lapointe was named the Co-Pitcher of the Week in Ripken League for the week of June 22-28 along with James Giuletti (Binghamton) of the Herndon Braves.

LaPointe, pitching for the Silver Spring Takoma T-Bolts tossed a seven-inning shutout against the Maryland Redbirds on June 27. He scattered four hits and a walk and struck out a pair of hitters en route to his second win of the season.
