Baseball's Pat Lehman Drafted by the Minnesota Twins

WASHINGTON, DC - George Washington junior Pat Lehman was drafted by the Minnesota Twins organization with the 1,236th pick of the MLB First-Year Player Draft Friday. He was the only Colonial selected in the two-day, 50-round draft.
A 6-4, 215-pound right-handed starting pitcher, Lehman posted a 6-5 record in 2008 in 17 appearances with a 5.28 ERA. The Fair Lawn, NJ, native struck out a team-high 82 batters while walking just 28 in 92 innings. His 82 strikeouts and 92 innings pitched were team highs this season. He started 11 games and recorded a save for the 26-29 Colonials.
As a sophomore in 2007, Lehman went 5-7 with a 5.31 ERA with 51 strikeouts in 78.0 innings pitched. He was tied for second on the team with two saves and appeared in six games in the field, starting one game as a DH and two games at first base.
