Saturday's Game: The Colonials and Crimson meet for the first time today.
• GW (3-2) has been idle for six days after a humbling 76-53 loss to Maryland in the BB&T Classic on Dec. 7 at Verizon Center. Senior Rob Diggs was selected as the Boeing Player of the Game after scoring a team-high 10 points on 4-8 FGs with five rebounds and two blocks.
• GW has a record of 71-18 (.798) at Smith Center in seven-plus seasons under Karl Hobbs and is 312-121 (.721) all-time in 33-plus seasons at 22nd & G Streets.
• Harvard (4-3) is coming off a tough, 76-71 double-overtime loss to Northeastern on Wednesday at home. Both teams managed to score just four points each in the first OT period before the Huskies outscored the Crimson, 10-5, in the second extra period.
• Harvard is picked to finish 4th in the 8-team Ivy League in the league's preseason media poll.

A Closer Look at Harvard: A school of 6,613 students, Harvard is located in Cambridge, MA, in the greater Boston metropolitan area. The Crimson have been picked to finish fourth in the 8-team Ivy League in the preseason media poll. Harvard has a pair of road victories at New Hampshire and Colgate while dropping games to Colorado (70-57), Boston University (75-59) and most recently, dropped a 76-71 double-overtime decision to Northeastern at home. Junior G Jeremy Lin leads the Crimson with 20.1 points and 4.1 assists per game. Lin has a team-high 14 three-pointers and has a .557 FG percentage.
