BALTIMORE, MD -- The returns came in early on election night and it was a landslide victory for the George Washington volleyball team which won for the eighth time in its last nine outings with a convincing 3-0 sweep over Morgan State Tuesday night in Baltimore. The Bears closed to within three at 17-14 on a kill by Hilary Tutman but GW again pulled away for the easy 25-19 triumph.
The third set was deadlocked at 6-6 before the Colonials again asserted themselves with an 11-4 run behind a pair of O'Brien kills and numerous Bear errors. GW scored the final eight points of the set, including the final two points on O'Brien service aces, to coast to the 25-12 win.
