DURHAM, NC -- The George Washington volleyball team won the first-ever meeting with North Carolina Central, 3-0, in a non-conference match Thursday evening at NCCU's McLendon-McDougald Gymnasium. The Colonials defeated the Eagles by the scores, 25-14, 25-15, 25-14, at Durham, NC.

The Colonials combined to hit .343 in the first set but also were aided by the Eagles' eight attack errors.
Set two was all GW as the Colonials raced out to a 10-2 lead and were never threatened hitting .406 with 17 kills while committing just four attack errors. The third set was similar as GW took command on a double block by Katie Zulandt and Liz Moult that gave the Colonials a 10-3 lead.
