WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington women's lacrosse team volunteered Sunday, Oct. 5, at the Washington, DC Breast Cancer 3-Day -- a weekend-long, 60-mile walk which benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.
The Colonials spent the day assisting walkers, handling traffic crossings and gear retrieval for hundreds of participants on the final leg of the three-day event. The 3-Day began at Potomac Ridge Mall in Woodbridge, VA, camped at Occoquan Regional Park in Lorton, VA, and concluded with a walk from Old Town Alexandria, through Arlington and into the District near the White House.
