WASHINGTON, DC - George Washington head women's lacrosse coach Chrissy Lombard-Adair has resigned to pursue other career interests, senior associate athletics director Mary Jo Warner announced Wednesday.
Lombard-Adair has been part of the women's lacrosse staff since its inaugural season in 2002, serving as an assistant for three seasons before being promoted to head coach prior to the 2005 campaign. She was twice named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year during her three seasons as head coach, leading GW to its first A-10 Tournament in 2005 and its first regular season co-championship and the conference title game this past spring.
Lombard-Adair was 30-23 overall in three seasons, 13-8 in A-10 play. The search for Lombard-Adair's replacement is underway.
