WASHINGTON, DC - George Washington University's baseball game at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, originally scheduled for Tuesday, has been postponed due winter weather conditions at Hawks Stadium. The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 28, at 2:30 p.m., weather permitting.
The Colonials are 0-6 after being swept by the University of Maryland over the weekend. The Hawks will enter Wednesday's game with a 1-6 overall record. Their one win came against Mt. Saint Mary's.
This will mark the first ever meeting between these two schools on the diamond. The two teams are also scheduled to play at GW on April 24.
George Washington continues their schedule this weekend when they travel to the University of Florida for a three-game series with the Gators. After dropping two of three from Kent State over the weekend, Florida is 5-6 overall on the year. Friday's opener is at 6:30 p.m., Saturday's at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday's finale is set for a first pitch of 1:00 p.m. All games will be played at the Alfred A. McKethan Stadium at Perry Field.
