Tonight's Game: GW (3-4) will aim to snap a three-game road losing streak when it takes on Binghamton (1-7) for only the third meeting in the series tonight. GW won both previous meetings, 69-52, in the 2001 Red Auerbach Colonial Classic on Nov. 23, 2001 at Smith Center and 68-64 on Dec. 30, 2002 at Binghamton's West Gym.
• BU is led by former GW asst. coach Kevin Broadus, in his first season at Binghamton. Broadus was an assistant at GW for three seasons from 2002 through 2004.
• GW is coming off a 68-36 loss to Virginia Tech Sunday in Blacksburg, VA. The Bearcats have been idle for eight days following a 73-55 loss to Colgate at home on Dec. 5.
• Binghamton senior G Richard Forbes paced the Bearcats with 23 points as they shot 33.9 percent while allowing Colgate to shoot 52.1 percent from the field.
• Tonight's game marks GW's first visit to the four-year-old Events Center where Binghamton has a 26-19 (.578) record.
• GW is without starting point guard Travis King, who is sitting out the season with a knee injury.

A Closer Look at Binghamton: Binghamton enters play Thursday with a 1-7 record under first-year head coach Kevin Broadus. Broadus is a former assistant coach at GW under Karl Hobbs. The Bearcats were predicted to place 4th in the 9-team America East in the preseason coaches' poll announced Nov. 6. BU has two players averaging double figure points, led by Richard Forbes' 16.9 ppg. Lazar Trifunovic's 8.6 rebounds leads the team and he's second in scoring with 14.3 points a game. For the season, Binghamton is shooting 41 percent from the field, averages 67.5 points a game and is being outrebounded by its opponents by 7.2 rebounds a game. Opponents are shooting 50 percent from the floor. Binghamton opened the season with a 97-80 loss at St. Bonaventure and also will face A-10 member Fordham, as well as St. Bonaventure again, for a total of four games against A-10 competition this season. The university has an enrollment of 14,373 students and is located near the New York-Pennsylvania border in the central part of New York state.
