Golf Places Fourth at Navy Spring Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, MD - GW freshman Lewis Sturdy shot a one-under-par 70 Saturday to tie for third among 84 golfers in the Navy Spring Invitational at the par-71, 6,528-yard Naval Academy Golf Course in Annapolis. As a team, GW placed fourth of 15 teams.
Navy's Gold team won the tournament with a team total 582, three strokes ahead of Rider (585). Loyola College was third with a 586, four strokes ahead of GW.
GW freshman Juan Pablo Zuluaga was in second place after Friday's first round when he carded a two-under 69 but was unable to duplicate that effort Saturday and finished with a second-round 79.
The Colonials play their final tournament of the regular season April 22-23 in the Rutherford Intercollegiate hosted by Penn State at State College, PA.
