Baseball's Ryan Roberson Receives Warren H. Fulton III Award

WASHINGTON, DC - George Washington University head baseball coach Steve Mrowka named senior first baseman Ryan Roberson (Silver Spring, MD / James H. Blake) as the 2005 recipient of the Warren H. Fulton III Memorial Award.
The award is presented annually to the GW baseball player who best exemplifies the spirit, teamwork and sportsmanship demonstrated by the late Warren Fulton who played for the Colonials from 1986-88.
Ryan has provided leadership off the field and on as he leads the Atlantic 10 in hitting with a .409 average and ranks third with 13 home runs.
Past recipients include current Colonials' Avi Rasowsky (2002), Geoff Milsom (2003) and Michael Parker (2004).
GW returns to action Wednesday at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (7:00 pm start) and then closes out the regular season with a three-game conference series at Temple beginning Thursday.
The Colonials and Owls will meet for a doubleheader beginning at 12:00 pm Thursday and play the regular season finale Friday, also beginning at 12:00 pm.
