WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington softball team split an exhibition doubleheader, 5-4 and 2-3, against the Howard Lady Bison on Wednesday, Sept. 22, at Banneker Stadium in its second outing of the fall season.

GW earned the win in game one, pulling out a close 5-4 victory, while the Lady Bison rallied in the bottom of the seventh in game two for a 3-2 triumph.

The Colonials return to action when they travel to Charlottesville, VA, for the Cavalier Fall Classic hosted by Virginia on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 2-3. GW faces Hampton at 11 a.m. and Radford at 3 p.m. on Saturday, followed by two games against the host Cavaliers on Sunday at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
